Personally Appear
A signer must personally appear before the notary; non-physical appearance (video image) is not “personal appearance” under current California law.
What documents can you notarize?
Almost any document requiring a signature: real estate contracts, grant/quitclaim deeds, mortgages, powers of attorney, living trusts, affidavits, business agreements, DMV forms, and more. If it’s legal in California, I can usually handle it.
How far in advance do I need to schedule?
I often accommodate same-day requests. For larger loan packages or complex real estate transactions, 24–48 hours notice is ideal. Just call or text and we’ll work with your timeline.
What identification do I need for a notary appointment?
A current, government-issued photo ID (California Driver’s License, Passport, or State ID). We follow all California Secretary of State requirements.
Are you available evenings and weekends?
Yes. I understand real estate and legal needs don’t always fit 9-to-5. Evening and weekend appointments are available by request.
Do you work with title companies and escrow?
partner with most major title companies and escrow officers in Southern California and regularly handle signings at their offices or bring the service to the client.
What to Bring to a Need for our Appointment?
A valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, state ID – must be current and match document names), the original documents (no photocopies), any required witnesses if applicable, payment method.
What Happens if I’m delayed and You Need to Wait?
Many notaries include a short grace period (e.g., 10–20 minutes) in the base fee. After that:
* Common rates: $20 per 15–30 minutes; or $50 per hour.
* Excessive waits (e.g., due to delays at a hospital or jail) can add up quickly and are charged separately. Always confirm the policy in advance.
